LaTocha Scott, mononymously known as LaTocha, has returned with her new single “Love Changes.”
Produced by Tyler Jasper and Travis Jasper, “Love Changes” finds LaTocha grappling with a time of uncertainty in a relationship.
“Just like the seasons, we never say the same / Looking for reasons, reasons to say I’ll stay / I’m going through love changes,” she sings.
Speaking on her new track, LaTocha exclusively tells Rated R&B, “‘Love Changes’ is my personal journey of love — the highs, the heartbreaks, and everything in between. I wanted to capture the emotion of what it feels like when love shifts, and how those moments shape who we become.”

“Love Changes,” which was co-written by LaTocha and Edrick Miles, her first single since releasing her gospel album, The Invitation: A Conversation With God, in 2023. The founding member of Xscape‘s first solo album included the singles “Stay With Me,” “I’m Yours” and “Afraid.”
“My favorite part of this album is just speaking from my heart,” LaTocha told Rated R&B. “I was able to be vulnerable in that space and not have any judgment. Sometimes in a workplace, you have people who stand over your shoulder, [and] try to tell you what to do. It makes it a job. So I found that it wasn’t a job anymore. It was just therapy for me. I was able to release those emotions that were inside.”
Ahead of her solo return, LaTocha teamed with Eric Benét for “Work It Out” from his 2024 Duets EP.
Earlier this year, she released her viral cover of Chris Brown’s “Residuals” as part of a challenge launched by R&B veteran Tank.
