One year after shaking up the R&B scene with her debut EP, With All Due Respect, Kwn is back with the B-side, And All Pride Aside, via RCA Records.

Preceded by “Hopeless Romantic” and “Touch Myself,” the 11-track project further leans into Kwn’s self-assuredness but is topped with more vulnerability and experimentation. Opening with “All Fours” featuring Destin Conrad, Kwn confidently states she “could have any bitch on all fours” but prefers substance over no strings attached. “I could never date a bitch that don’t wanna make me main course,” she sings with a distorted effect.

As much as Kwn is focused on finding a true connection, she doesn’t allow that to stop her from fulfilling her sexual desires in songs like “Good Girl” and “‘Til U Cry.” The latter makes a commitment to give her special lady tear-inducing orgasms. And if that isn’t enough, there is the Ty Dolla $ign-assisted “‘Til The Room Stinks.” It might be the shortest song on the project, but it promises a long-winded lovemaking session that permeates the room with the warm musk of pleasure.

“Risk It All,” another standout, incorporates a sample of Nelly’s classic “Hot In Herre,” which contains the DNA of Chuck Brown & the Soul Searchers’ “Bustin Loose.” Like “Hot In Herre,” “Risk It All” captures the heated desire to remove all clothes: “Lemme get us outta here, ooh / Girl, I want you under covers / And grabbing on some bed sheets,” Kwn sings.

The latter part of the project is where Kwn truly lets down her guard. The downcast acoustic “Idea of Love” finds her drowning in insecurity, questioning if she’s enough for the people she has desired: “I don’t like the idea of love / S—t keeps beating me, then beats me up.” She ends the EP on a deeply personal note with “Heaven’s In Your Hands,” where she grapples with grief from losing her grandfather. “I don’t have many regrets but one of them gotta be not staying with you / And how can I get on with life when it’s being taken away from you?” she sings.

According to press materials, Kwn started working on the project in late 2024, and has developed it across Los Angeles, Atlanta and her hometown, Walthamstow in East London, before making finishing touches while on her headlining tour.

In an Instagram post, Kwn said, “Truly grateful to everybody who was apart of this. thank you for being patient. i’m glad i took my sweet time with it. extremely proud of me for pushing through and persevering.” She continued, “I’d be lying if i said it wasn’t hard to get some of these songs outta me but i’m learning and growing willingly. i hope you guys enjoy it as much as i enjoyed making it.”

Kwn’s debut EP, With All Due Respect, was released June 20, 2025. The EP featured collaborations with Kehlani and Flo, as well as the fan-favorite “Back of the Club.” “This project is me setting a foundation for myself in R&B. I’ve done a few great features this past year and now I want people to start taking me in for who I am as an artist,” said Kwn. “I feel a lot of people had previously been sleeping on me & doubting me. With all due respect, they should have never done that.”

This summer, Kwn will be on an international festival run. In July, she will play at Roskilde Festival, Yardland 2026, Montreaux Jazz Festival and North Sea Jazz Festival. Then, in August, she will hit Lollapalooza in Chicago. A full list of dates is available at wnway.xyz/tour.
