More than a decade into her career, Kehlani has achieved a new milestone on the Billboard charts.
Her lauded single “Folded” rises from No. 14 to No. 7 in its 20th week on the Hot 100 chart. It marks Kehlani’s first top 10 hit on the popular singles chart, currently dominated by Taylor Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia.” “Folded” also joins pop-soul singer Olivia Dean’s “Man I Need,” currently No. 5, and fellow R&B singer Leon Thomas’ “Mutt,” which holds steady at No. 10 for a second consecutive week — his first top 10 hit as well.
According to Billboard, “Folded” garnered 13 million streams (35% increase), sold 3,000 copies (74% increase) and amassed 32.9 million airplay audience impressions this past tracking week.
“Folded” is also seeing a surge on other mainstream charts this week, jumping from No. 28 to No. 10 on Streaming Songs and from No. 11 to No. 8 on Radio Songs, earning Kehlani her first top 10 hit on both tallies. Additionally, it climbs from No. 15 to No. 13 on the Digital Song Sales chart.
Elsewhere on Billboard’s R&B charts, “Folded” holds at No. 1 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, No. 1 on Hot R&B Songs, No. 1 on R&B Streaming Songs and No. 2 on R&B Digital Song Sales (peak).

Released June 11 via Atlantic Records, “Folded” was produced by Andre Harris, D.K. the Punisher, Don Mills and Khris Riddick-Tynes.
In late July, Kehlani treated fans to “(un)Folded,” a special a acapella version of the hearty track that featured additional production by R&B newcomer Isaia Huron. In an interview with Rated R&B, Huron discussed his involvement with “(un)Folded.”
He told the publication, “It was on a whim. [Kehlani] was working on it, called me and said, ‘Do your little weird shit you do at the end of these covers you do.’ She had me singing backgrounds throughout the record, and it turned out to be really nice. I’m happy she allowed me to be so weird.”
“Folded” is showing no signs of fading. Kehlani’s biggest solo hit to date has brought out a range of R&B singers who have added their own twist to one of the hottest records of 2025. Last month, she released Folded Homage Pack, a remix EP featuring appearances from Toni Braxton, Brandy, Ne-Yo, Mario, Tank and JoJo.
On Monday night (Nov. 3), Kehlani appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to perform “Folded,” which can be watched below.
Next, Kehlani will release her new single “Out the Window” on Friday (Nov. 7), as she puts finishing touches on her highly anticipated album, which will follow 2024’s CRASH.
