British singer Samm Henshaw has revealed his new album It Could Be Worse will release Nov. 21 — and Dec. 5 at retail — via Dorm Seven/AWAL. The forthcoming project will be available only on vinyl.
According to press materials, It Could Be Worse “captures the raw beauty of heartbreak, healing, and growth.” The album will include the lead single “Get Back,” which is available on streaming services.
On the psychedelic soul number, produced by Josh Grant, Henshaw is struck by the sting of nostalgia — yearning for the good old days when it all feels so far away. What was once “evergreen” is now “just wilting,” prompting Henshaw to ask, almost rhetorically, “how do we get back” to those brighter days?
He sings in the second verse: “Ain’t no balancing the scale / Is there a fighting chance for anybody? / Can’t keep living through this hell / From where I’m standing it ain’t ever stopping.”

Regarding “Get Back,” Henshaw shares, “One of my favorite songs on the album. I wrote it for when you’re looking back at a time that you had maybe taken for granted and you longed to get back to that place. At the time, I was seeing where the world was at and thought the song could apply to so many arenas.”
It Could Be Worse, the follow-up to Henshaw’s 2022 debut Untidy Soul, will feature 12 tracks, including a collaboration with rising singer Ogi. According to the official tracklist, his duet with Tori Kelly, “Find My Love,” is not included on the album.
In other news, Henshaw will embark on a world tour in 2026, stretching from late January to late March. Tour dates and ticket information are available at sammhenshaw.com.
