Simone Green releases video for empowering single ” Black Queen”

R&B commanding vocalist Simone Green has stepped into a bold new era with her empowering single, “Black Queen,” a celebration of strength, resilience, and the beauty of Black womanhood.  Available on all streaming and download platforms, the anthem serves as a powerful reminder for women everywhere to embrace their strength, purpose, and royalty unapologetically. 

Written by Green alongside Jeffrey Dillard and produced by SFR and Arnell Newman, the single is the title track from her forthcoming sophomore album, Black Queen, set for release on her birthday, August 8, 2026.

Her accompanying  striking visual for “Black Queen,” directed by Tiffany Ray and Arnell Newman, offers an authentic glimpse into Simone Green’s real life as a modern Black woman balancing career, wellness, love, friendship, and purpose. From commanding scenes of confidence and grace to moments of joy and sisterhood, the video beautifully captures the essence of empowerment and self-love. Currently airing on BET Soul, BETher, and other BET network properties, the visual further amplifies the song’s uplifting message while showcasing Simone Green’s undeniable presence both on and off the stage.

A two-time cancer survivor celebrating the 10-year anniversary of her first diagnosis,  Green continues to inspire both through her music and community advocacy. She actively supports breast cancer survivors through organizations including The Brave Chicks and The Tatisa C. Joiner Foundation supporting breast cancer survivors in the community.

Green will embark on her BLACK QUEEN promotional tour with stops in Chicago, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., Charlotte, New York, Dallas, and Houston, to name a few,  bringing her empowering message directly to fans across the country.

Simone Green is a Chicago-based vocalist, songwriter, and cultural storyteller whose body of work spans decades and genres, including a #1 independent radio hit, “We Could Be,” and a voice woven into the fabric of American media, from award-winning campaigns for Walmart, Toyota, and the Illinois Lottery to placements on Dance Revolution on CBS Networks and the television series Ugly Betty on ABC Networks.

Originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, Simone relocated to Chicago in 1997, where she co-founded the beloved band Soul Sanctuary, performing to sold-out crowds and becoming a respected fixture in the city’s music community.
