Chris Brown and Leon Thomas have joined forces for “Fallin’,” which will appear on Brown’s 12th album, BROWN.
The track has a bluesy edge, spirited by a mid-tempo groove with the smoothness of a weathered juke joint floor, where a sonorous bassline mumbles beneath percussive stabs. It’s here that Brown yearns with all his heart to mend a crumbling relationship.
“I just can’t keep chasin’ love (Fallin’, yeah) / I been tryna make it up (No, I been tryin’) / I been tryin’, I keep fallin’,” he sings in chorus, with additional backgrounds by Tank.
In Thomas’ verse, he reminisces about the good times that eventually faded into the abyss: “I loved you until the casket / I just wish we could get past it / Burnin’ bridges ’til our paths meet again.”
Brown is expected to release an official music video for “Fallin’,” directed by Travis Colbert; from a snippet shared on social media, it’s a sepia-toned nod to the 1930s that exists within the cinematic lineage of Harlem Nights and Idlewild.
“Fallin’” is Brown and Thomas’ second collaboration, following “Mutt (CB Remix)” from Thomas’ Mutt deluxe album.

As noted above, “Fallin’” is lifted from Brown’s upcoming LP, BROWN, which releases May 8 via RCA Records. The 27-track project will also include “Holy Blindfold,” “It Depends” featuring Bryson Tiller and “Obvious.”
“It Depends,” a Grammy-nominated hit, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B Digital Song Sales chart and peaked at No. 16 on the Hot 100.
BROWN is the follow-up to his 2024’s 11:11 (Deluxe), which won a Grammy for Best R&B Album.
This summer, Brown will kick off his co-headlining R&B Tour with Usher. The North American stadium run kicks off June 26 in Denver at Empower Field at Mile High. They will play in Detroit, Washington, D.C., Toronto, Las Vegas and more, before concluding Dec. 12 in Tampa.
Last year, Brown embarked on his first headlining stadium tour, Breezy Bowl XX, which grossed nearly $300 million.
