The album opens at No. 6 on the chart dominated by SZA‘s SOS for a 108th nonconsecutive week. According to Chart DataWhy Not More? pulled in 15,000 equivalent units in its first week of sales.

Elsewhere on Billboard, the album launches at No. 12 on Top Album Sales, No. 16 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, No. 25 on Vinyl Albums and No. 59 on the Billboard 200.

The Grammy-nominated “Here We Go,” which samples Lenny Williams‘ “Cause I Love You,” spent seven weeks at No. 1 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart. It marked Jones’ first leader on the chart. “Taste,” which samples Britney Spears’ “Toxic,” is in its peak position at No. 13 in its 13th week on the chart.

Regarding her debut album, Jones explained, “Why Not More? is the question I’ve been asking myself in hopes of understanding me and growing in confidence. This album is about leaning into whoever you are right now without worrying about who you’ve been or who you want to be in the future. Authenticity will never lead you to the wrong place, so why not lean in?”

Jones is supporting her new album on her Why Not More? Tour with special guests TA Thomas and Lady London. The tour kicked off Tuesday (May 6) in Philadelphia, with upcoming stops in Baltimore, Boston, Brooklyn, Toronto and Chicago to name a few. The trek concludes Sept. 19 at Roundhouse in London.

Circling back to the album, Jones released Why Not More? (Extended) on May 2, which included three bonus tracks: “Is It Mine” featuring Lady London, “Control Freak” and “Taste – Live from the TERRELL SHOW / 2025.”
